Christian Music?
Hello, everyone today I am going to talk about
christian music. Before I start I want to say that this
is not a style bash. God created all music.
But something has happened to Christian music
it is now simply possitive music. Why? Because
most of the artists are their to play music and thats all
They arent evangelist like the original CCMers.
I don’t understand it but it has become just another
buisness. They don’t want to offend anyone so they
right about possitive things and occationally putting
Jesus name in a song or two.
That doesn’t mean we have to sing about Jesus
all the time, but if your going to be a christian group
be a christian group.
It all boils down to the fact that the american
church is a buisness. Therefore what it spawns
are institutional buisnesses. I really think it’s time
we took a fresh look at our faith and weeded some things
out. till next time.

Maybe you should say the some Christian groups are like this. I agree that a few are. But! Go to youtube… Hillsong has millions of views and they for sure are a Christian band who is giving a great message and is not afraid of saying the name of Jesus. I know lots of new bands that shout the name of Jesus load and clear!

its not a good thing….. and to comment on -L’s comment above … i love hillsong… they are awesome…. but the truth is that still the majority of Christian music is a sell out…or a business or whatever…. but not because they are making money playing music… but more importantly because most of them do not understand who they are in Christ …
now we aren’t a big act or anything like that at all… and are only starting to take music more seriously as of late.. but we are taking it seriously because in the last year we have started to understand who we are in Christ … what happened when we put our faith in Christ … what it means and so on…so anyhow… the music that we have up online i feel is representative of the “positive” type of music that you mention above…. where we try not to say anything in your face or too Christian….. so its not the industries fault … its my fault…. for not seeking Gods face like i should have…..
but yeah… its time to change all that…… we have a new album that will be coming out the end of this year…11/2010…. and it is very different …. and we hope to start a movement of musicianaries who are on fire for Christ and let the whole world watch us burn

I think you so right! I don’t think there should be a “CCM” genre. You should just be a band or do worship type music!
